First Annual Winemaker Dinner
On Saturday, November 3rd, 52 friends and Board Members of
HOMES were treated to a delicious five-course dinner at Chanteclair
Restaurant. Greeted by the lovely singing voice of "Paula
Prince", the guests sampled appetizers while bidding on a variety of
silent auction items that included gift certificates to various
local restaurants, rare bottles of wine and lovely decorative items.
Each of the five courses was paired with a memorable wine,
specifically chosen for that course. The highlight of the
evening was the comments about the wine making process by William
Legion, President of Huntington Winery, who donated special wines
for the evening. Special thanks goes to Sandra Denisac, HOMES Board
Member, Barry Nicholas, HOMES Volunteer Extraordinaire, and William
Blank, General Manager of Chanteclair Restaurant for all of their
hard work in making this first time event truly a memorable evening!
Over $3,000 was raised for HOMES supportive housing program.

"Fun on the Green"
HOMES 7th Annual Muffin Spencer-Devlin Mental Health Golf Classic
was a terrific success! 90 golfers enjoyed their day at the
beautiful Mesa Verde Country Club on Monday March 25th. The
day was topped off with a delicious dinner and a rousing live and
silent auction expertly handled by Larry Simpson, co-chair of the
tournament. This event was made possible by the generous
support of our golfers and corporate sponsors: Toyota, LPA, Rutan &
Tucker LLP, RBF Consulting/Mike Burke, Burnham Real Estate
Services, US Trust and Allergan. Thanks to their wonderful
support $29,000 was raised to support our affordable housing
program. Our heartfelt thanks also goes to the Golf Planning
Committee for all their hard work: Tom Uram and Larry Simpson (event
co-chairs), Nina and Jim Berman, Barry Nicholas, Laurie Meyer-Lancisi,
