HOW CAN YOU HELP?

You can play a vital role in helping people who are recovering from mental illness to become active and productive participants again in community life. We depend on private donations to make our program work. Here are the areas where we welcome your contributions and support:

  • Financial Support

Please support our worthy cause and non-profit organization
with your tax deductible contribution. Tax ID:  33-0107781

  • Support our annual fund raiser held in March each year - our famous Mental Health Classic golf tournament with the LPGA pro Muffin Spencer-Devlin.

  • Volunteer Time
  • Computers and Communications Equipment
  • Office equipment/supplies
  • Furniture & Household items - When residents move from HOMES to their own permanent apartments they often need full rooms of furniture and basic kitchen and household items. Can you help? They have little or nothing to start with.
  • Items that can be sold at silent auctions
  • Appreciated assets - real estate and other investments. We have small grants to open homes in Lake Forest and Mission Viejo. Now we need the single family homes. Ideally that can accommodate 6 adults in those two cities.  Click here to get some information on the benefits your get and how you can gift your property to our charity.
  • Tickets to community events
  • Participation or sponsorship of our next annual fund raiser held in March each year -
our famous Mental Health Classic golf tournament with the LPGA pro Muffin Spencer-Devlin.

    • Donations are tax deductible - Our Federal Tax ID is 33-0107781.
    • Please make checks payable to H.O.M.E.S., Inc.
    • Donations via VISA or Master Card are also welcome.

What are some specific needs:

We have a need for modern PC Monitors and Personal Computer systems for the H.O.M.E.S. Inc. office, the 30 unit Jackson Aisle project and our single family residences. Residents often have computer skills they learned before they became sick. Many are now attending computer classes. They need computers so they can send and receive email - e.g. for job prospecting or to communicate with long lost family and friends.

What computers can we use? In one sentence, the computers ideally should be able to run Windows XP. Most other specifications are optional. Modems, network interface cards, printers, monitors, etc. - most peripherals are all useful. We can get the computers upgraded or fixed. Or we can trade them in on systems that more precisely match our needs.

Can you provide tech support or basic user orientation & training for the PC systems at Jackson Aisle or at the individual homes?

Thanks for your support.
