WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Low income persons 18 years of age and over with persistent mental illness,
but capable of semi-independent living, are eligible.
They must be:
- Willing to participate in program activities which may include, but are
not limited to, house meetings, vocational training, volunteer work, school,
full or part time employment, or attendance at a day program.
- Able to self-manage prescribed medication.
- Free of recent drug and alcohol abuse.
- Free or behavior that endangers self or others.
- Enrolled in a local mental health clinic.
- Willing to participate in an intake interview.
- Willing to sign an agreement to pay their share of the monthly rent.
People receiving SSI will be able to afford this program.
