What is H.O.M.E.S.?

H.O.M.E.S., Inc. is a nonprofit organization providing housing and support services for people with chronic mental illness.  By providing affordable, transitional housing with appropriate support programs, H.O.M.E.S., Inc. helps individuals learn to succeed at living independently in their own communities.

The H.O.M.E.S., Inc. staff works closely with case managers, residents and dedicated volunteers from the community to help residents develop the skills they need to live successfully. Residents have the opportunity to learn to manage their daily activities in a stable, affordable and attractive environment.

Over the next 18 months, we will be able to significantly increase the number of people we can serve.  We are building 30 new apartments in Midway City as well as purchasing new houses.  Your support is even more critical as we expand the number of supportive housing units. We thank you for your enthusiastic participation in the 7th Annual Mental Health Classic.

Sincerely,

H.O.M.E.S., Inc.

A Letter from Muffin

March 25, 2002

Dear Friends and Sponsors,

Thank you for being a part of the 7th Annual Muffin Spencer-Devlin Mental Health Classic benefiting H.O.M.E.S., Inc.  Your willingness to participate today will benefit the people in our community who live with a mental illness.

Your generosity makes this event successful.  Your donations will allow the H.O.M.E.S. staff to increase the number of houses we have and help even more mentally ill individuals learn to take an active role in their community.

We’re excited about the “Jackson Aisle” project that will provide 30 units of permanent housing for adults with mental illness.

Your role, whether as a sponsor, donor, player or volunteer is important to our success.  Thank you.  Your enthusiasm is an indication of your commitment to our community.  Thank you for your support.  We couldn't do it without you.  Congratulations on a job well done!!

With love,
