HOMES attracts an energetic, friendly group of individuals that successfully support HOMES. residents and inspire them to continue their progress. HOMES is always in need of volunteers to assist others in maintaining the high quality of the services it provides residents. Helping HOMES is an effective way of getting involved in the community, enjoying human connection, and advancing a good cause. A variety of volunteering opportunities ensures that a perfect niche can be found in the HOMES family.

Volunteer positions include:

Fund-raising activities
Teach independent living skills to individuals or groups of residents
Provide transportation and companionship on group outings
Teaching classes or organizing activities at the annual Mountain Respite Camp
Helping to coordinate parties, outings, and other social events for residents.
“Spring cleaning” of houses and garages, painting interior walls, and garden care.

Interested parties will be interviewed and assessed by staff for talents and task preferences, as well as ability to treat clients with respect and protect resident privacy and dignity.
